"My aim in this website is to shed light on the struggles women with a spinal cord injury go through, daily.  BloomSCI.com is a safe place where injured women can find guidance, advice, friendship, and understanding."

There are approximately 250,000 people living with a spinal cord injury in the US today... And, only 28% are women.  This explains why the majority of resources available to the newly injured are directed towards men.  GeewhizSCI.com was created as a resource primarily for women living with and recovering from a spinal cord injury.

It can be a very scary and confusing time after an injury.  We need to create a community where injured women feel safe, comforted, educated, and empowered following a spinal cord injury.  We are all in this together...  So, stay strong and BLOOM.
